These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of korhonen.nl and any purchase you make from Korhonen. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • You are providing accurate and complete information
  • You will use our products for personal, non-commercial use (unless otherwise agreed in writing)

3. Products and pricing

We make every effort to display our products accurately, including specifications, colors, and dimensions. However:

  • Product images are representative. Slight variations in color, finish, or texture may occur due to manufacturing batches, photography conditions, and screen calibration.
  • Specifications are provided by our suppliers and verified where possible. Minor variations may occur.
  • Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes or duties unless explicitly stated.
  • We reserve the right to change prices, products, and availability at any time without prior notice. Changes will not affect orders already accepted.
  • In the event of an obvious pricing error (e.g., a product listed at a fraction of its true price), we reserve the right to cancel orders placed at the erroneous price and refund any payment.

4. Order acceptance

When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase. Your offer is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. Before this confirmation, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including:

  • Product unavailability
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment
  • Inability to ship to the address provided
  • Errors in product description or pricing

If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, we will refund you in full within 5–10 business days.

5. Payment

  • All payments are processed in USD via secure third-party payment providers (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, and others as available)
  • We do not store full payment card details on our servers
  • By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the listed amount, including any applicable shipping and taxes
  • If payment is declined or fails, your order will not be processed

8. Intellectual property

All content on korhonen.nl — including text, photographs, illustrations, logos, graphics, and the Korhonen name and brand — is the property of Korhonen or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • View and share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Reference Korhonen products in editorial or personal contexts with attribution

You may NOT:

  • Copy, reproduce, or republish our content for commercial use without our written permission
  • Use the Korhonen name, logo, or brand assets without explicit license
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically collect data from our website
  • Use our content to train AI or machine learning models without permission

9. User-generated content

If you submit content to us (reviews, photos, comments, contact form submissions), you grant Korhonen a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our business — including in marketing materials, on our website, and on social media — with appropriate attribution where reasonable.

You confirm that any content you submit:

  • Is your original work or you have the right to share it
  • Does not infringe on third-party rights
  • Is not unlawful, defamatory, or offensive

We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content at our discretion.

10. User conduct

You agree not to use our website or services to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Conduct automated scraping, indexing, or data collection beyond standard search engine behavior

You agree to indemnify and hold Korhonen, its founders, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of applicable law
  • Your misuse of our products or services
  • Any content you submit or transmit through our website

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

If you are a consumer residing in another country, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

15. Dispute resolution

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at info@korhonen.nl so we can attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We commit to responding to disputes in good faith within 30 days.

For EU consumers, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to attempt resolution.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We will update the "Effective date" at the top
  • For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website
  • Your continued use of our website or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms
