Description
A narrow travertine cylinder that drops straight off the ceiling and throws a tight column of light. Used singly it marks a doorway or an alcove; in a row of three or five it turns a corridor into something deliberate. The large size reads more like a pendant, the small one almost disappears.
Materials & finish
Solid travertine body, left open-pored so the channels and pits in the stone catch the light. Colour and veining vary from piece to piece. The lamp sits in a shallow recess just behind the rim, so the lit face stays visible from an angle.
Light
Takes one E26 reflector spotlight bulb, the kind sold as PAR16 or R16, roughly 2 in (5 cm) across or smaller. A standard A19 globe is too wide for the stone bore and will not fit. With a warm LED reflector fitted, the beam is shaped by the bulb's own reflector and the deep tube tightens it further, so light lands where the fixture points instead of spilling across the ceiling.
