Description
A quietly sculptural wall sconce that pairs a rotating travertine cylinder head with a slim solid wood arm. Light spills from the stone drum’s diffused lower face in a soft, warm glow, ambient light for a bedside, hallway, entryway, or reading corner in Nordic and Japandi rooms.
Materials and finish
Rectangular solid wood arm with a flat backplate, in natural wood or walnut. The flat cylinder drum is genuine travertine in natural stone (a warm cream travertine) or black stone, porous with visible pitting, so no two are identical. A small metal pivot joins the head to the arm.
Light
LED, 9W. The head rotates 180 degrees on its pivot, so you can aim the light up the wall or down toward a bed or book. Choose warm light for a fixed warm tone, or three-color dimming to switch between warm, neutral, and cool. Available with a beaded pull-chain switch, or without it for a hardwired install on a wall switch.
Dimensions
Cylinder head 3.9 in (10 cm) diameter by 1.6 in (4 cm) deep, on a 9.1 in (23 cm) solid wood arm, projecting 6.5 in (16.5 cm) from the wall.
Care
Dust wood and stone with a dry or barely damp cloth. Travertine is porous, so avoid soaking and acidic cleaners, and dry any moisture promptly. Wiring by a qualified electrician.
